BACKYARD COMPOSTING

Leaves, grass and other yard trimmings make up about one-quarter of the average household waste stream.  Backyard composting is an easy way to reduce the waste you put to the curb, save yourself on disposal costs, and ultimately create a valuable hummus or soil that can be used to amend garden soils and lawn turf.
