OUTREACH TOOLS

Education, marketing, outreach, all are terms used to effectively get the message across to your audience whether you are teaching a class or setting up a campaign to reach employees with new recycling information.  Following are tools that may help you improve how you communicate.

Municipal Solid Waste Facts and Figures.  The U.S. EPA generates an annual report on waste generation, recycling and disposal rates.  The 2010 fact sheet is now available but check the main site for trend graphs and other tools.

BIN LABELS:  
Recycle Across America Standardized Bin Labels.  In 2010, this non-profit developed a set of standard labels in an effort to provide a nationally recognized bin label to aid people in recycling appropriate materials.
