Membership Development Internship:

This is a great opportunity for a student seeking a career in sales, marketing, advertising, community relations, environmental services, or business. Although this is a fast paced internship, the Michigan Recycling Coalition does offer a flexible work schedule and can accommodate an intern in either the Lansing or Grand Rapids area. 

This intern will assist the Program Coordinator and Board of Directors Membership Committee on sseveral membership development projects covering a range of experiences. This internship will focus on enhancing and implementing a membership development strategy that targets organizations across Michigan. Interns will experience the full membership process from recruitment to renewal, focusing on retention and how to build quality relationships across an industry. There will also be exposure to event planning and strategy, as the Michigan Recycling Coalition annually holds the largest recycling and organics professional conference in Michigan. 

Interns will be required to work with a variety of networks and with a diversity of organizations and perspectives. The ideal candidate will begin to learn the ins and outs of the industry and gain a unique exposure to the many actors that are involved in recycling, from local governments to fortune 500 companies.
