Kerrin O'Brien, Executive Director
Kerrin has worked with the Michigan Recycling Coalition in a variety of capacities since 1993. In addition to managing the organization, her interest lies in building consensus and movement around pro-recycling policies that work for both the public and private sector. As a nonprofit development specialist and facilitator, Kerrin has led many nonprofit organizations through strategic planning and development efforts. She holds a Social Science bachelor from MSU and has completed ICL’s Executive Director Development Program.



Katie Fahey, Program Administrator

Katie is a 2011 graduate of Aquinas College with a dual Bachelor of Science in: Sustainable Business and Community Leadership. She has worked in the sustainability field for the last 4 years as a Sustainability Coordinator. Through this position she was able to implement programs that introduced sustainability to over 50,000 associates. She also got experience creating a comprehensive recycling program for over 100+ locations across Michigan and a composting pilot for Michigan grocery stores. She has a passion for sustainability, public policy, and Michigan which she hopes to bring to this new position!

The Michigan Recycling Coalition:
