FOR COMMUNITIES

Live Green Home Shows coming to Battle Creek, Kalamazoo and Chelsea in the Spring of 2012.

Providing recycling, composting and waste reduction education, information and services to residents and community organizations in cities, counties and townships across the state is not only valued by residents, it’s critical to the success of the recycling industry in Michigan.  Government managed programs provide a consistent supply of recycled materials to processors across the state.  Companies that provide recycling services are valuable parts of any community. They make use of locally-generated recycled materials and provide local jobs and tax revenue.

The Michigan Recycling Coalition wants to help local governments provide valued services, education and information to their constituents.

Recycler Certification - Get the recognition you deserve!

Certified Recyclers stand apart from their peers and demonstrate a commitment to conserve resources, reduce waste, recycle, and purchase green.

The Michigan Recycling Coalition's Recycling Certification Program allows your organization to document and promote waste reduction and recycling efforts through a recognizable and reliable vehicle.  Applicants complete a form describing their waste reduction and recycling efforts and return that with payment to the MRC office.  Upon verification by the MRC, participants will be recognized as a Certified Recycler through window clings, press releases, certificates and other promotional tools.
